Stealth Conversions sells a basic V-8 mounting kit (Part Number DAT-200), shown above, for about $275. You can buy the parts individually. For those who want to make the parts themselves, drawings of the parts (except the speedometer cable and driveshaft flange) are in the Datsun Z Car V-8 Conversion Manual. We also sell a Radiator Mounting Bracket Kit (Part Number DAT-125).
Warning: Beware of a less than reputable person by the name of Josh Anderson, in Orem, Utah, who is selling Datsun Z V8 mounting brackets on Ebay under the name "Saltlakesales."
In the past, we have had complaints from people who have purchased parts from him -- they thought they were purchasing JTR/Stealth parts.
Mr. Anderson was asked to remove any association with JTR or Stealth Conversions from his advertisements or sales tactics.
Mr. Anderson advertises that the Datsun Z V8 Mounts will work in a 280ZX. The V8 conversion mounts for the 1979-1983 280ZX are completely different than the V8 mounts for the 1970-1978 Z car.
When people were not happy with Mr. Anderson's parts, Mr. Anderson refused to provide refunds.
Driveshaft adapter flange note:
The driveshaft flanges that bolt to the Z Car differential and uses a Dana #1310 U-joint, which was commonly used on most Chevrolets in the 1960s and through the early 1970s.
The pilot diameter on the DAT-110 flange is 2.25 inches in diameter. All 1970-1978 Z Cars (except 1975 models) came with the 2.25" pilot diameter.
1975 Z cars, and 1979-1983 (ZX) cars came with either a 2.25" or 2.00" pilot
diameter. If the differential has the 2.00" pilot, use DAT-110-2.0 ($65).

Speedometer Cable: The speedometer cable goes from the Chevrolet transmission (which has a 7/8"-18 thread, and a .104 square drive) to the Datsun speedometer head. The highest quality cable is use to provide smooth operation, with no bouncing of the speedometer needle. The cable ends are squared with a tapered die to reduce stress on cable, the cable housing is steel, and the cable is lubricated with high quality grease.
